Recently, a number of parents have expressed an interest in online NJASK resources. There is now a link, shown above, called NJASK Help, which contains a lot of information about the NJASK. Specifically, there are links to sample tests and free online tutoring sites.
Ridgefield’s players were so exhausted after earning the program’s inaugural win at the Bergen County girls volleyball tournament that they had no energy left to celebrate.
Congratulations to Coach Floro Villanueva, Assistant Coach Vivian Abreu, and the Lady Royals on their tremendous victory at the Leonia High School Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, September 24, 2011!
The Lady Royals took part in a 10 team tournament, including North Arlington, Bergenfield, Hackensack, Elmwood Park, Saddle Brook, Dwight Morrow, Leonia, Fort Lee, and West New York, where we were placed in Pool “B”. The Lady Royals played their hearts out and beat all of the competitors in their Pool, before moving on to the semi-finals and the finals. Seniors Maggie Catherina and Melissa Urrea, as well as Junior Jenna Lara played their career best at this tournament. Continue reading
For students in Darla Ferdinand’s Spanish 5, Spanish 5 Honors and Spanish Independent Study courses, that was a very important question as they worked on the culminating 4th marking period assessment for their “Sabores y Colores” unit. Cooking is a challenging enough task, but when students are expected to prepare a meal based on directions written completely in Spanish, the pressure is on! As Darla assessed their performances based on technique and accuracy, the students worked diligently to complete their task at hand. After the students prepared the meal, they feasted on their creation. Mission accomplished? I’d have to say “si.”
